Warren’s supercritical fluid experience spans 26 years. His work includes extraction of compounds from contaminated soils, development of a novel technique to measure solubilities in supercritical fluids, supercritical fluid property and design software and development of a fully continuous process to extract compounds from solid matrices.
Formerly a Professor & NSERC Chair in Design Engineering in the School of Engineering at the University of Guelph. He was one of the driving forces behind Guelph’s Environmental Engineering program. For 15 years, he provided leadership in engineering design education at Guelph and across Canada.
Warren spent a little over two years with Esso Petroleum Canada in their Refining Technical Services group providing air, waste and noise expertise to operations, design and research departments.
Warren was a co-founder of Guelph Environmental Leadership (a local non-profit). He colead the introduction and running of WindEng (a highschool energy and design competition) for 8 years. Warren was a founding member of Canadian Engineering Education Association.
