SCFCan Co-founder and leader of process control systems.

Maedeh completed her PhD degree in 2016 at the University of Alberta. Her research focused on the development of a pilot-scale, fully continuous supercritical fluid extraction process. Her contributions focussed on process control and spanned design, construction, troubleshooting, commissioning and operating this first-of-its-kind technology.

Maedeh completed her Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering (Petrochemical Processes, Isfahan University of Technology, Iran) and a Masters degree in the field of Simulation and Control (Sharif University, Iran). Maedeh’s PhD program allowed her to develop and demonstrate the capacity to use her core chemical engineering and system control expertise on problems associated with environmental protection.  Maedeh is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Alberta. Her research focuses on expanding the pilot scale continuous SFE process towards treatment of other oil contaminated wastes specifically bitumen process waste streams.
